Aloe Blacc + T&S

The new Aloe Blacc record, recorded and produced by J. Dynamite and L. Michels, has just been mastered and should be released in early 2010 on Stones Throw Records. As ST's label manager, Eothen Alapatt said, "think of Bill Wither’s darkest moments, with a splash of Bobby Womack’s whimsy and just a bit of R. Kelley." here are some pics of the recording. T&S vs. Dinah Washington

Check out the Truth & Soul remix of Dinah Washington's version of "Cry Me A River" on Verve Remixed 4. A 12" EP has also just been released which features Truth & Soul's "Cry Me A River", Diplo's "California Soul", Kenny Dope's remix of 'There Was A Time", and a remix of the Nina Simone's song, "Gimme Some", by Mike Mangini.

T&S vs. Gabriella Cilmi

UK/Australian pop sensation Gabriella Cilmi asked for the T&S treatment and we couldn't resist. Her Patsy Cline-esque single, "Sweet About Me" which dominated the Uk charts for a couple weeks got flipped into a stoned-out, dirge from the guys at T&S. Somewhere between "House of The Rising Sun" and a funeral march, Truth & Soul found a happy home for Gabriella Cilmi. You can find the remix on the "Sweet About Me" itunes EP. Check it out here.
